Valentine's Day Sales to Shop Now, On Valentine's Day

I am a sucker for holiday home goods, but friends we have to be smart. Some of you may remember my secondhand Halloween guide from last July. Yes, you read that correctly. July. Gathering decor in the off season, months prior, is a great way to save your hard earned money. The other way is to shop the sales in the immediate aftermath of a holiday. I find this to be especially useful for the smaller holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, St. Patrick’s Day etc.).

I love Valentine’s Day despite my personal curse. It comes right in the worst part of winter to add a little romance and flood me with one of my all time favorite color combos: pink and red. Now I’m not one who is going to decorate the entire house for Valentine’s Day, that’s just not my style. I will however, pick pink and red flowers out for my house and sprinkle in some tasteful kitchen items here and there. When my child arrives, maybe I will do a bit more and invest in a sweet felt garland for their room, but for now I’m pretty laser focused on hosting finds. If you have little ones though, PB Kids has a lot of really cute stuff and it’s all on major clearance. I’m swooning.

I checked all the big box stores to see what their heart day happenings were. Williams Sonoma comes in first place this year for me, followed closely by Pottery Barn. Crate & Barrel… do better. Anthropologie had cute stuff but none of it was on sale yet, so they didn’t make the roundup. Let me know if you snag anything! I may have to get those salad plates, you know they’re always my weakness.
